Bonnie Kane's Transcendent Winds is a departure from the noise of the world into the quiet areas of the soul. The sound of the flute has forever been a calming element in the world, and it is certainly needed now. To be able to promote and enhance that calm, has become the mission of Transcendent Winds.
The listener is invited to recline, to lose themselves in meditation, to transcend time and timelessness, to relax. Transcendent Winds is music for falling asleep, for dreaming, for staring at the stars, for meditation, for sound healing.
Influenced by the melodic work of wind players Terry Riley, John Gibson ( Philip Glass Ensemble), Theo Travis (Soft Machine), and Paul Horn, Bonnie creates cascading melodies using flute and 5 amplifiers that quiet the rambling mind, and enable a slowing down into the present moment. The 1 - 2 hour performance provides enough time for you to enter into a deep relaxation, steadying the breath and clearing tension. You will emerge relaxed and de-stressed, with an overall improved feeling of health and mindset, ready to take on your challenges from a more powerful and centered perspective.
"The Embrace of Above and Below" was recorded live by candlelight, in a Vermont forest for an audience of healers and herbalists.
